Measure around the base of your dog's neck. This is not where the collar sits. Measure behind this, where the neck joins the torso. This is where the neck opening of the Float Doggy will sit.

Measure around the torso, behind the front legs. This is the front adjustment of the jacket and will tell us if the jacket will have enough space for the chest and shoulders.

Measure from where you took the neck measurement, straight along the spine to the sacrum. Do not measure to the tail. Only to the hip. This is the length of the vest. We want the jacket to be long enough to sit at the mid-waist so that it is balanced along the torso.
