A Good Fit Looks Like...
Where the jacket ends...
We don't want the jacket to extend past the point of the hips. Ideally it finishes somewhere between the last rib and the sacrum. The jacket doesn't need to extend all the way along to the tail and we don't want it to.
The top of the jacket...
The top line of the jacket sits forward of the sacrum (The top line of the jacket sits forward of the sacrum at the tail end, and forward of the withers at the neck) at the tail end, and forward of the withers at the neck
Overlap between side and belly panels...
There is overlap between the side and belly panels when the jacket is fastened. Any overlap is good. Longer haired dogs may have some fur escaping, but as long as those panels overlap an inch or so we are good
Around the neck...
The neck is a snug but not tight fit at the base of the neck. If you can slide your hand comfortably inside that is a good.
The belly panel...
The belly panel sits along the base of the ribcage and does not go into the groin area or interfere with boy dog 'business'
If you still need help...
Foam and fur don't make for an exact 'right fit' but here are some guidelines for a good Float Doggy fit. For any questions, please email sizemeup@stuntpuppy.com and include a photograph of your dog wearing their Float Doggy so we can personally asses the fit.
