Minnesota-based Stunt Puppy Making Masks for Sale and Donation
Minneapolis, MN...Stunt Puppy, a Minnesota-based company that makes gear for active dogs, has joined the fight against Covid-19 by using their teams sewing talents to make masks.
“We’ve been working diligently to fulfill wholesale customer orders for the past two months and we can now turn our attention to providing masks directly to consumers at www.stuntpuppy.com/masks, said Ken Goldman, Stunt Puppy founder and president. “For every mask a customer buys online, we will donate a mask to an organization focused on healing the systemic injustices of racism and inequity. Our commitment as a company is to help make our communities safe. When our customers buy a mask, they are joining us in this effort.”
Each mask is designed using methods and materials approved by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), using two-ply cotton fabric. It cinches using a lace-lock at the back/top of the head, giving a snug, yet more comfortable fit than most masks that use elastic behind the ears. Using rapid prototyping skills, the design team went through several iterations to find the best fitting and most comfortable combination.
“We’ve channeled our dogs’ unconditional love by using our design and sewing expertise, and our equipment to make reusable face masks,” said Goldman. The company, which is still making its core products—dog collars, leashes and harnesses for dogs, onsite at its Minneapolis location, has added capacity to make masks as well.
